Founded in 2003, the Faculty of Communication has an academic staff that graduated from some of the most prestigious universities in Turkey and abroad. The faculty also recognizes the need to connect professional life and the field and works with part-time instructors who are comprised of professionals already successful in their jobs. Our faculty includes five departments: Radio, Television & Cinema, Public Relations and Information, Visual Communication Design, Advertising, and New Media. Our curricula and technical facilities are continuously updated to meet the needs arising in the field.
Our education programs are designed according to the tendency of integrity among the sectors in the field of communication. Our students receive relevant skills and knowledge in the area of whichever program they have enrolled in. Students graduate with all the necessary qualifications to work in all the sectors in the field thanks to the joint courses, a wide range of electives we offer, and the studios established to carry out group projects.
We offer our students studying Radio, Television & Cinema, Public Relations and Information, and New Media to get a certificate proving their expertise in a second field (tracks) along with their major. These tracks are designed as pathways to expand their opportunities for employment in related sectors of the area or to find their businesses.
Unquestionably, the theory and practice should be integrated into communication education. In KHAS, Faculty of Communication, this is achieved by ensuring all courses include methods to prepare our students for their careers. Especially for the last two years, the focus has been placed on practical classes, and the students spend their time mostly in ateliers, studios, and labs both during and after classes.
During their times in these shared spaces, the students create and design content and design for the media, such as interface and interactive design, developing mobile apps, generating motion graphics and 3D designs, print newspapers and magazines, producing movies, and writing screenplays with experienced instructors directly from professional life. Our students have been delivering award-winning projects in Advertising Atelier and creating campaigns on political and corporate communication in Public Relations Atelier.
Being a student at the KHAS Faculty of Communication means looking in an independent and interactive communication environment distinguished by its academic and administrative staff. It also means having access to facilities, igniting their enthusiasm to learn and create. Additionally, our students graduate with self-esteem, knowing they have all the necessary qualifications for their careers.
