PR Atelier
The Department of Public Relations and Information provides students with a study area where they can spend their extracurricular time to prepare themselves for their future professions within the framework of lectures or real customer relations representatives. Here, they conceptualize, develop, discuss and present the productions related to the courses they will choose to specialize in one of the political communication and corporate communication paths they will determine with a choice made, especially during the transition to third grade. In this way, they have a portfolio consisting of various projects that will help them a lot when entering the sector, participating in communication competitions in their fields, meeting with real customers, and having the opportunity to experience what they will bring to professional life when they are students.
Advertising Atelier
Our students spend most of their extracurricular time in the Advertising Atelier. The doors of the Atelier are open to anyone who wants to experience the industry before entering the industry, to get briefs from Turkey’s biggest advertisement clients while still a student, to find creative solutions for a genuine brand, to come together with young people from different minds and have a lot of fun while doing all these. On the other hand, students who work together in that environment can’t get enough awards.
New Media Lab
We designed the New Media Lab to bring together experts working in the new media field, instructors, and students who aim to become a new generation of communicators. We aim to provide students with the opportunity to produce ideas, content, and projects together and to have a chance to create them. The Lab is equipped with a technological infrastructure that follows the innovations in the digital environment and allows to development of content in different formats. Our students here can do multi-media journalism using a new generation of technology tools, according to their chosen field of expertise. They produce printed and digital content for the publications of our university, such as Cibali Postası and Panorama Magazine. They share content they create on all platforms available on the internet, social media, etc., and design and develop mobile applications. They have the opportunity to establish a portfolio of projects they produce, are ready for new business models, and are entrepreneurs as graduates with entrepreneurial self-confidence that they can build their business models.
Design Lab
Design Lab has been created for students who can design communication in all kinds of media, from the internet to mobile devices, from television to cinema. Using new-generation visual communication design tools can put what they have learned into practice. Production in creative fields such as Interface Design, Interaction Design, Motion Graphics Design, 3D Digital Design, Mobile Application Design, Service Design, Web Design, Data Visualization, Game, and Cyber Game Design, Video Production, Typography, Photography, Illustration, and Animation. Courses are taught in this laboratory. Our students carry out their design work, which they will produce in four years, with constantly updated and renewed equipment. The space, also used during extracurricular hours, provides the ability to perform a wide range of theoretical and applied studies, solve problems and ultimately design in a holistic way. At the Design Lab, workshops are organized for our students by the industry’s leaders. In our laboratory, Apple computers have design and animation programs, mainly Adobe CC, as required by the department courses, tablets for drawing and design, a printer, a scanner, a sound system, and a projector.
Radio, Television and Cinema Studio
RTS Studio, with its renewed and improved equipment, provides students with technical equipment and shooting venues for their courses and personal projects. Starting from the applied courses in the first year, until they graduate, our students carry out courses and studies on subjects such as lighting, shooting techniques, photography workshops, use of green box (green screen), and scenario writing techniques in the studio. Our studio, which closely follows the technological developments, is equipped with devices from brands such as Blackmagic Design, Canon, Sony, Panasonic, Apple, Tascam, Rode, and Arri. In addition, there is an Adobe Creative equipped Macintosh computer lab in the editing room connected to the studio, where students can complete their projects.
