Doruk Kumkumoğlu Joined KHAS Visual Communication Design Department as a Lecturer

We are delighted to introduce our new colleague, Doruk Kumkumoğlu who joined Kadir Has University, Visual Communication Design Department’s academic staff.

Doruk Kumkumoğlu completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication Design at Istanbul Bilgi University. His artistic practice merges photography with different disciplines and representation models, aiming to establish alternative approaches to photography’s conceptual possibilities and function. In 2016, Kumkumoğlu received Akbank’s Contemporary Artists Award. In the following years, he presented his work in various countries, including Italy, France, and Japan. Kumkumoğlu completed his Master’s Degree in Photography at École cantonale d’art de Lausanne in Switzerland, where he carried out theoretical and practical studies on the boundaries of photography within the scope of the “Augmented Photography“ project. Following this, he started working as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Visual Communication Design at Kadir Has University. In addition to his artistic work, he also produces commercial work in the field of design.
