KHAS Academics are in the World’s Most Influential Scientists List

A database study conducted by a group of researchers from Stanford University, in line with the data found in the SCOPUS index database, has announced the list of the Most Influential Scientists in the World. The list, published by Elsevier, a Netherlands-based publishing company specializing in scientific, technical, and medical content, was listed in two categories: “Career-Long Impact” until the end of 2022 and “Annual Impact” for 2022. In creating the list, international criteria such as total number of citations, number of patents, h-index, hm-index, number of articles, and number of qualified publications were used.

Prof. Nihat Berker, the Vise Rector and the Dean of KHAS Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences; Prof. Metin Kozak, the Dean of KHAS Faculty of Communication; Emeritus Prof. M. Önder Pekcan of KHAS Molecular Biology and Genetics Department; Emeritus Prof. Erdal Panayırcı of KHAS Electric-Electronic Engineering Department; Prof. Volkan Ediger of KHAS Industrial Engineering Department, and Assoc. Prof. Nima Jafari Navimipour of KHAS Computer Engineering Department took place in the “Career-Long Impact” list, which includes more than 200 thousand scientists worldwide who continue their work in 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields.

For 2022, the influential names in the “Annual Impact” category include our academics Prof. Metin Kozak, Prof. Erdal Panayırcı, Prof. Volkan Ediger, Assoc. Prof. Nima Jafari Navimipour and post-doctoral researcher in Computer Engineering Seyed Sajad Ahmadpour.
